The Kohala Vista Inn is a luxurious two-room bed and breakfast on large, secluded property in the gated community of Kohala Ranch Estates. Its superb location along the Kohala 'Gold Coast' north of the airport assures consistently sunny skies and easy access to the multitude of restaurants, shops and activities that the luxury resorts offer. Kohala Vista is just a 15 minute drive to the Big Island's best white sand beaches and only 20 minutes drive to both the towns of Waimea and Hawi.
The upscale community of Waimea offers its own excellent shops and restaurants. Horseback riding is offered at nearby ranches, and guided tours to the summit of Mauna Kea are also offered nearby. The charming artists' community of Hawi offers excellent art galleries and more shops and restaurants. North of Hawi is the scenic drive to the Pololu Valley Overlook and the hiking trail into Pololu Valley.
The Guest Wing of Kohala Vista is entirely separate from the owner's quarters and offers two beautiful, comfortably appointed bedrooms, both with queen beds, and two full baths. The master suite opens directly to the pool/jacuzzi and a private lanai, affording truly breathtaking coastline views. The second bedroom is offered only to additional guests in the same party, assuring complete privacy. If it is not rented by them then it will remain unoccupied during their stay.
There is a small kitchenette between the two bedrooms with a small refrigerator and microwave for the use of guests. The owner Audrey brings a covered breakfast tray including a selection of fresh Hawaiian fruit to this kitchenette each morning at 7 am so that guests may eat in their room or poolside at their leisure. Audrey also provides all cooking utensils, plates, etc. if guests choose to prepare a dinner using the outdoor BBQ so they may dine overlooking the pool and the truly breathtaking coastal views.
2 bedroom/2 bath inn - stunning views, privacy, pool/Jacuzzi. Near gorgeous beaches, fine dining/shopping.
RATES:
Kohala Vista Inn rates - Main Bedroom is offered for $175/night double occupancy with a two night minimum stay.
The second bedroom — offered only to a 3rd or 4th person in the same party — is $85/night.
TAXES:
Rates are subject to two Hawaii taxes totaling 13.416%:
General Excise Tax ( GET ) of 4.166%; and
Transient Accommodations Tax ( TAT ) of 9.25%.
RESERVATIONS:
A 50% deposit is due within 14 days of the reservation, with the balance payable 30 days prior to arrival. Payments may be by check, money order, MasterCard or Visa.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation with 60 or more days notice will result in a refund of monies paid, minus a 10% cancellation fee. With less than 60 days notice, refunds will be based solely on the ability to rebook the reserved dates; again, minus the cancellation fee.
